Math and Language Arts Educational Blog

Welcome to my Educational Blog! I am a learning support teacher at Latrobe Elementary School in Southwestern Pennsylvania. This blog has been created for use in my language arts and math learning support classrooms. I will use this Blog to facilitate discussions between students, teachers, administrators, and parents. I am a first-time blogger so please feel free to share any comments or suggestions that you have discovered while blogging. I am interested in identifying the usefulness of blogging and ways to incorporate it into my classes. The blogs that I have had a chance to view online seem to provide teachers with opportunities to share bulletin boards, classroom organization strategies, lesson plans, activities, and classroom management skills. Please feel free to share your ideas or any interesting blogs with me!

Hi Chasady:

I really like your Blog and the photos you included. When you finish your Masters will you be leaving learning support? I am looking forward to reading more about your classroom.

Shantal,
I would like to stay in learning support for a while since this is the area of teaching I am most passionate about. However, once I start having a family, I don't anticipate having the time to complete IEP's and meet with parents before and after school; therefore, I will probably look to change my position at that point!

Thanks for your comments!

Hi Chasady! Your blog looks great, I love the bright text and the pictures. I too am realizing how flexible online courses are, you're right, it takes a lot of communication and collaboration to get things done. I feel like I'm being introduced to tons and learning a lot. I liked your bulleton board idea, sounds effective.
